Consists of one fixed and one rotating spiral. The rotating spiral moves within the fixed spiral, and as it moves, voids appear at the entrance of the vacuum pump. The pumped medium is continuously transferred from outside through the spaces between the two spirals. After compression, it is released at the exhaust, located in the middle of the fixed slider.
Due to their oil-free operation, spiral vacuum pumps are ideal for applications requiring a clean vacuum environment.
